2.I will defend my friends because they were always there for me if I faced some problems in school. Without my friends, I would not have anyway to talk to and would be very lonely.
3.I will defend Singapore because it was where I grew up and all my happy memories are. Singapore is also my country, so as a citizen of Singapore, I ought to sacrifice myself to defend Singapore.

I do not agree with Xin Kai by him saying "it is important to return the favour and help them back"
Your parents teach you and help you because they love you and not because they would want you to return the favour to them in the future.
