"My family, without them teaching me and helping me I could and would not get to where I am so it is important to return the favour and help them back"
I totally disagree with the later part of his answer in which you said that "so it is important to return the favour to help them back"
First of all, You owe your parents a living for bringing you up, for providing food, good education and love to you. You don't "return a favour" to your family, you only return favours to your friends. It is important that you realise that Family is way more important then friends. Hence, you must change your point of view.
