I think there are many advantages of CCT surveillance and it outweighs the disadvantages of it. The main disadvantage will be that people would have less privacy. However with CCT surveillance, thefts and crime rates would be lower and it will be a much safer and crime-free environment. Our safety should be more important than a little sense of insecurity. This is also one of the most fool-proof method to help take down crime and should be utilized by every government. I encourage what the government is doing to help their citizens. Seeing how our many singaporeans are now buying CCTVs, maybe our government should follow what London, Paris and New York are doing.
